Have you ever sent or received a poison pen letter or other hate mail? 

If yes, I'd love to hear about it here. If you haven't, maybe this is your chance.

I am in the process of doing my thesis work for my MFA at Transart Institute. The focus of my thesis work is just these sorts of nasty correspondence. I am taking the text of these epistles and putting them to music. If you have ever been on either end of such a letter I would love to know all about it. Ideally I would love to receive a scan of it at vitriolicverses@gmail.com. If you no longer have the original, either because you trashed it or because you slipped it in the post, then I would still like to have the text. Failing that you could just tell me all about it.

If you are a kind and upstanding citizen who has never been on either end of such a missive, then maybe this is your chance. Post one here. You could send one to that person who dumped you. Maybe you're still holding a grudge against Santa for not getting you that pony. Hell, you can even send one to me if you like.

In keeping with the idea of poison pen letters I would really most appreciate posts made under a pseudonym, but if you should wish to remain anonymous that is fine as well. If you should sign your letter with your own name it will be redacted should I use it going forward with my project.

I can't promise that every post will become music, but if yours does I will surely let you know provided you leave me a means of contacting you.
